Captains Voting 2024 - 2025
Here is the ballot survey to vote for captains for next season. SENIORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE. This is only for freshmen through juniors.
Please vote for your top four choices for team captains for the upcoming season. Traits of a captain are as follows:
1. Must be a rising senior
2. Must serve as a role model for hard work, dedication and respect for themselves, their teammates and their coaches
3. Must have been a member of the team for a minimum two years
4. Must be inclusive of all members of the team and always seek ways to lift up others
5. Must always function with the team in mind
6. Must consistently attend meets and team functions as well as consistently be present for break practices
When voting, please keep these things in mind as being a captain is more than just a role to put on your college resume or voting for your best friend. A captain is someone that represents the program in everything they do and will be held to a higher standard for their behavior than the rest of the members of the team. Do not vote for people who conduct themselves inappropriately outside of school hours by participating in activities that are against team rules, GHSA rules, and/or illegal activities. These captains represent YOU. Don't make a mockery of this program by appointing people who do not represent hard work, dedication, commitment, and the best interests of their teammates. Additionally, this is the swimming AND diving team, so the captains may be swimmers OR divers. The coach reserves the right to appoint half of the captains and to determine the number of captains to serve. The number of captains can vary each year and can vary by make up of divers vs. swimmers, boys vs. girls, club vs. high school swimmers, etc. It is recommended that you should consider the importance of that representation when you select from the people below to ensure our captains are inclusive and representative of our program as a whole.
Here is a list of qualifying captains based on age and years on the team (alphabetically):
Yan Berezitsky
Maor Bigio
Elijah Edison
Caroline Gaines
Jennifer Griner
Raj Malik
John Murphy
Brooklyn Petit
Gavin Schoeling
Lilah Versluis

SCHOOL RECORD BROKEN: BROOKLYN PETIT
